ISSUE Magazine is an open platform for creatives to share their work. It is a monthly online publication, with each ISSUE centered around a particular theme. In other words, each ISSUE will focus on an issue (yes, we are both tickled and proud of our magazine name, and may or may not have exchanged high-fives, whoops, and fist-bumps when we first came up with it).
At its most fundamental level, we aim to showcase the creative work of our contributors, unified by the theme we choose each month. The magazine serves to curate the different interpretations various people may have on a certain topic. What you gravitate to when you think of a specific issue may and most likely will differ to how someone else sees it, and we like the idea of showcasing how vast the spectrum on any topic can be.
We started off as a couple of people with an idea to do a podcast, which expanded into the aim to be an arts collective of sorts. We want to encourage people to share their creativity, in any medium. Writings, music, photography, art, drawings, poems, videos, anything, really.
We want to exhibit content with depth. Content that is meaningful, content that can be funny, sad, positive, weird, thought-provoking, morbid, lovely, heart-breaking, or just plain goddamn beautiful. We hope you love what you read or see or hear in this magazine, and are inspired to be creative.
